ANNA VALLE is one of the very few women who were able to turn a victory
in a beauty pageant into a successful career in show business. A native
of Sicily, she moves her first steps in the world of theater appearing in
classical works like “Lisistrata” by Aristophanes. After high school she
enrolls at the University of Catania Law School, but interrupts her studies
to participate in “Miss Italia”, the most important beauty contest in Italy,
and wins the crown in the 1995 edition. The next year she appears in the
short movie “The two red dolls” by Alessandro Ingargiola, followed by a
few other supporting roles. Determined to become a true actress, she studies
acting with passion, and obtains one of the leading roles in the successful
television series “Commesse” (1999), followed by “Turbo” (1999), “Cuore”
(2001), and by the movie “Soraya” (2003) by Lodovico Gasparini, in which
she plays the lead role. In 2003 she plays the role of Cleopatra in the
television movie “Imperium: Augustus” with Peter O’Toole and Charlotte Rampling,
before becoming the star of the mini-series “Seasons of the Heart” (2004).
In 2005 she decides to temporarily leave the small screen to devote herself
once more to classical theater and cinema, with “SoloMetro” (2006) and Carnera,
in which she plays Primo Carnera’s wife.
